We’re donating £100 from every fee we earn to three special charities, to raise £20,000 2014 is a milestone in our Company’s history – this year, we celebrate our 20th anniversary - that’s 20 years of providing market leading sales, valuation advice, residential property lettings and management and commercial sales, lettings and management. As part of our celebrations, we wanted to put something back into the community, to try and establish a legacy that we can then build the next twenty years upon. So we have set ourselves an ambitious target of raising £20,000 over the next three years for three incredibly worthwhile local charities; • Rebecca House, the Island’s Children’s Hospice • The Isle of Man Breast Cancer Unit appeal • Isle of Man Alzheimer’s Society We are pledging to donate £100 from every sales commission we earn over this three year period and would very much like to give all our clients the opportunity to choose which charity they would like their donation to go. Of course, if our client’s would like to match our donation, I’m sure the Charities would all be extremely grateful! Please find a little more information on each of the Charities below. Rebecca House www.hospice.org.im Rebecca House is a children’s wing in the Hospice, Isle of Man. It is a purpose-built facility that opened in November 2007 and it provides respite, palliative and end of life care for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions from birth to 18 years. Rebecca House offers a safe haven and a home from home environment in which physical, emotional, recreational and spiritual care is offered and implemented in a way appropriate to the child and their family. Rebecca House offers the highest possible standards of care and support to each child and their families to enable them to cope with their illness and lead as full and normal life as possible. The aim of the Rebecca House team is to provide holistic care to families, encompassing play, massage and relaxation, pet therapy, music therapy and use of the multi-sensory room. Care is offered in a flexible and accommodating manner and in doing so, Rebecca House provides opportunities for families to have a rest and enjoy quality time with other family members and siblings. The team at Rebecca House is currently made up of five Registered Nurses and six Nursery Nurses. “Every time we arrive we are welcomed with a smile.” “We would be lost without the help.” 6
