On 23rd March the directors of Black Grace Cowley made the difficult decision to close our three branches as the Covid-19 Pandemic began to take hold in the UK, it was a shock to us all. Pack up your laptop, key board, mouse, files, a couple of A4 pads and some pens and we will continue to #WFH! Wow this was going to be different, in a business where the majority of our contact with clients is face to face how would we manage to do valuations and view houses when we are all in lockdown?
Over the last few weeks we have had to change the way we work completely. It has been a massive learning curve for us all but we are adapting and have a real ‘can do’ approach to conversing with our clients and, not least, we have been innovative!
We were already using WhatsApp for our team meetings so why not use this platform for our clients to send videos of their homes to enable us to give them a virtual valuation. Whilst nothing beats a face to face meeting and seeing a property for real we had found a way to get the ball rolling whilst still in lockdown.
The virtual valuation allows us to see your home using just the camera on your mobile phone or iPad. All we need you to do is give us a guided tour around and send us a video or photos and we can connect with you via WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger – simple!
We have had a great initial response to our Virtual Valuation service with clients reaching out to all of our branches, keep the videos coming, the weather has been amazing and helps show off your homes too!
